Procurement Category Manager (Marketing)

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading end‑to‑end procurement processes for the assigned Marketing category, including sourcing, negotiations, contracting and supplier management.
- Building and executing a comprehensive category strategy across key marketing areas such as creative, media, digital, production, PR and events.
- Acting as a strategic business partner for Marketing, Finance and senior leadership, supporting decision‑making and ensuring strong commercial alignment.
- Managing RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and negotiating optimal commercial terms while ensuring full compliance with procurement policies and governance standards.
- Overseeing supplier performance, ensuring service continuity, cost control, quality delivery and ongoing improvements.
- Monitoring the marketing landscape and market trends to identify opportunities, innovations and efficiencies relevant to the category.
- Challenging demand, specifications and ways of working to elevate the role of Procurement within the marketing ecosystem.
- Managing category budgets, delivering savings targets and ensuring procurement outcomes translate into measurable P&L impact.
- Supporting ESG initiatives by promoting responsible, transparent and sustainable marketing procurement practices.
- Leveraging data, analytics and tools to drive informed decision‑making and enhance commercial and operational outcomes.
- Introducing new ideas and marketing innovations, inspired by trends such as digital acceleration, retail media, influencer economy, personalization at scale and AI‑generated content.
- Collaborating closely with internal marketing stakeholders to understand campaign needs, channel strategies and digital priorities, ensuring procurement enables effective and modern marketing execution.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or marketing‑related roles, ideally within retail or FMCG environments.
- Strong understanding of modern marketing, especially digital marketing, media ecosystems, media buying models and social media dynamics.
- Knowledge of AI‑driven marketing tools, creative automation platforms and marketing analytics solutions.
- Solid experience in managing marketing suppliers, negotiating contracts and running sourcing processes.
- Ability to analyse data, market insights and KPIs to support decision‑making and optimize category performance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build productive partnerships and influence senior business stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on approach and ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, digital‑first environment.
- Understanding of major industry trends such as influencer marketing, AI‑generated content, retail media networks and scalable personalization.
- Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model and travel as needed.
