Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Daily activities on data collection, analysis and processing:
    • Collects data from the assigned data owners, verifies in accordance with the established procedure;  
    • Communicates directly with Vendors or other external trusted 3rd Parties for the purpose of data confirmation;
    • Updates data libraries on request, following procedures and agreed standards;
    • Secures documentation of Master Data change requests;
    • Analyzes the possible causes of the error and performs an investigation to clearly identify the cause;
    • Contacts the appropriate employee (data owner) to rectify the cause of the error;
    • Verifies the effectiveness of the applied solution; 

 

  • Data quality monitoring and improvements: 
    • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies across all PEPCO countries.

    • Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as, development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.

    • In collaboration with data owners, defines and implements data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.

    • Provides assistance in resolving data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies collaborating with data owners.

    • Assists in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity across the operation of key systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements.

    • Conducts data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access.

    • Works closely with the business/IT to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements.

    • Supports other departments in obtaining reliable data – set up proper procedures, KPIs and their constant monitoring. 

 

  • Business Analyst role on designated projects: 
    • Examines existing business models and processes to design an appropriate improved solution

    • Analyzes workflows to assess requirements and propose solutions  

    • Presents, discuss, and gathers approvals for recommended solutions with relevant stakeholders;

    • Prepares functional specifications – translate business requirements into specified briefs;

    • Discuss specifications with IT and/ or external consultants in order to ensure correct understanding of business needs;

    • Generates and approves changes to specification when appropriate;

    • Develops and compiles Master Data reports to be used by business;

    • Set-ups test scenarios

    • Executes test cases if required

    • Prepares training manuals and integrate them with functional and technical specifications materials; 

 

Skills and experience we are looking for: 

  • Elementary knowledge of data management. 

  • Higher education (Minimum Bachelor’s degree). 

  • Process-oriented with a firm understanding of data, data flows and processes. 

  • Expertise in or ability to learn database tools like MS Access, Power Query, SQL. 

  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, reporting tools, Microsoft Power Platform (or ability to learn these). 

  • Strong attention to details with high accuracy of executed tasks. 

  • Fluent English (both written and spoken). 

  • Client oriented with good communication skills. 

  • Team player. 

  • Availability to work approximately 35–40 hours per week and to collaborate for a 6-month period. 

  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model.
