As Treasury Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Front Office team, acting on behalf of various Group and Pepco operating entities, and contributing to the development and delivery of a world-class treasury function.
Your key duties will consist of:
- Leading the Group Front Office team and building up the skills necessary to create a world class Treasury function with best-in class processes.
- Supporting the implementation of Treasury and of company/group strategic projects and priorities.
- Defining and monitoring team KPIs in line with stakeholders’ expectations.
- Working out and owning a business continuity plan for the Front Office.
- Managing Group market risks (FX, interest rates, commodities), including forecasting, realization, back-testing, using effective risk metrics. Identifying opportunities to improve risk management.
- Optimizing return on investment (MMFs, term deposits).
- Executing FX and other treasury transactions in line with approved mandates, policies, and procedures, including option strategies.
- Providing a valuable input into hedging and cash management strategies, including risk monitoring, trade execution, market analysis, and reporting.
- Providing expert treasury and market risk advice to the business, including support for budgeting and margin improvement initiatives.
- Owning Group FX and interests exposure forecasting, realization, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.
- Acting as a key user of the Treasury Management System (TMS), contributing to its ongoing optimisation.
- Accountability for timely consolidated cash flow forecasting and tracing variance vs. actuals. Working closely with FP&A for budgeting working capital needs per entity.
- Reporting and monitoring foreign currency and interests Asset and Liability Management (ALM) across all Group entities.
- Driving efficiency and best practice through standardisation, consolidation, and automation of treasury processes and exposure reporting.
- Managing ISDA negotiations and the drafting of related documentation.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders (wider Business, Finance, Taxes, Legal) and external counterparties (financial institutions), acting as a key contact for FX and market risk matters.
- Overseeing period-end, audit, and ad-hoc treasury reporting.
- Contributing as a senior member of Treasury to long-term strategy, performance improvement, and alignment across the Group.
All candidates should comply with the following list of attributes:
- Minimum 5 years in corporate risk management experience.
- Proven hands-on experience in derivative transactions (e.g. FX, interest rate hedging) and use of dealing platforms.
- Leadership experience in senior or other managerial roles, including team development, delegation of decision-making, and accountability.
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, international business environment.
- ACT, CFA, FRM qualifications are strong advantages.
- English min. B2 proficiency.
- Proven advanced and comprehensive knowledge of financial markets, including the ability to interpret market information and assess its impact on business and risk exposure.
- Strong understanding of treasury operations, cash management, and financial market operations.
- Broad understanding of fast-moving retail business needs, including awareness of competitors and the retail landscape.
- Solid risk awareness approach.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with innovative thinking.
- Ability to translate strategic and tactical priorities into operational goals.
