Stock Financial Controller

Your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and alignment between operational systems and financial statements across all Pepco Segment entities.
- Review stock reconciliations between the General Ledger and stock systems (POS, WMS, and other platforms), supporting issue resolution.
- Monitor inventory subledger accuracy at SKU level, including stock balances, unit costs, negative stock positions, and unusual pricing.
- Verify intercompany product pricing and correct stock valuation.
- Assess, calculate, and validate stock provisions in line with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes as the inventory subject matter expert, identifying risks and resolving issues.
- Cooperate closely with Commercial Finance FP&A and Accounting teams.
- Act as the key liaison between Finance and ERP systems.
- Coordinate inventory-related audits, ensuring accurate and complete audit documentation.
- Oversee stock count processes in distribution centers and stores.
- Drive continuous improvements in stock accuracy, process efficiency, and system reliability.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects, validating business requirements and ensuring alignment between operational and financial needs.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, preferably in stock/inventory controlling, within a managerial or independent role.
- Strong financial and technical accounting expertise.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Experience in a multisite retail or consumer goods environment would be an advantage.
- Background in international and multicurrency businesses.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
- Strong systems knowledge, including ERP solutions, Power BI, and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven, independent, and detail-oriented.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with 3 days per week based in our Poznań office.
