Senior Accountant

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee the cash reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of reconciliations.
  • Monitor bank statements on an ongoing basis, verifying completeness, accuracy of postings, and investigating discrepancies.
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers with the General Ledger within the cash and banking area, identifying and correcting any differences.
  • Prepare and execute internal controls related to cash operations in line with company procedures and audit requirements.
  • Perform month-end closing activities.
  • Analyze and resolve payment-related discrepancies in cooperation with other finance teams.
  • Actively participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving O2C processes, particularly within the cash and banking area.
  • Serve as a key point of contact and provide technical support to the team regarding system or process-related issues.
  • Mentor junior team members by providing subject matter support, sharing knowledge, and promoting best practices.
  • Ensure process continuity by providing backup support during team members’ absences.
  • Contribute to standardization, automation, and internal improvement projects.

 

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in a similar role (e.g., Settlements, O2C, Accounts Receivable).
  • Knowledge and practical experience with accounting standards such as local GAAP, IFRS, and statutory accounting requirements.
  • Good understanding of tax regulations.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • English proficiency at a minimum B2 level, both written and spoken.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Collaborative mindset with a solution-oriented and flexible approach.
  • Strong prioritization, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with SAP will be considered an advantage.
