Currently we are looking for a new team member to join our Pepco Team as a:

 

Trade Finance Manager

 

Your key responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and deliver short- and medium-term sales and margin forecasts for all markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead the monthly Trade Meeting and weekly Trade Update, providing clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to the ExCo.
  • Transition sales planning processes to KPI-driven models, driving alignment across finance and operational teams.
  • Own the month-end margin reporting process, analysing variances and collaborating with the buying team to provide detailed insights.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses to support key business decisions and initiatives, ensuring data quality and relevance.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in reporting tools and processes, leveraging automation where possible.
  • Partner with the Buying, Planning, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to identify key sales performance drivers and inform strategy.
  • Support the Marketing team during budget cycles, focusing on optimizing ROI for promotional and marketing activities.
  • Work closely with regional finance managers to understand local market trends and integrate them into sales projections.
  • Provide clear direction and strong leadership to direct reports, fostering a culture of professional growth and high performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization, championing collaboration and shared accountability.

 

Skills and experience we are looking for:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Min. 7 years of experience in finance within large, complex organizations, ideally in FMCG or retail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with non-financial stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving results.
  • Experience with strategic planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
  • English proficiency at C1/C2 level; additional languages are a plus.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
  • Strong ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of retail dynamics, including sales drivers, cost structures, and market trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging C-suite executives and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, with a proven track record of delivering solutions under pressure.
  • Openness to occasional travel to regional markets.
