Junior Treasury Back Office Specialist

Your responsibilities will include:

 

 

 1. Treasury Operations Support

  • Support execution and monitoring of:
    • FX confirmations and settlements
    • Payment and transaction controls
  • Assist in ensuring all treasury activities are processed accurately, securely, and on time.
  • Support resolution of operational issues and exceptions.

2. KYC, Banking & Administration

  • Support KYC processes, including coordination with banks and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining:
    • Bank accounts, mandates, and signatories
    • Static data (settlement instructions, counterparties)
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.

3. Controls, Audit & Documentation

  • Support execution and documentation of key treasury controls.
  • Assist in maintaining audit-ready documentation and evidence across treasury processes.
  • Support internal and external audits through:
    • Preparation of documentation
    • Organisation of supporting materials
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving treasury policies, procedures, and work instructions.

4. Reporting & Process Support

  • Support preparation of treasury reports and operational summaries.
  • Assist in explaining variances, issues, or trends in a clear and structured manner.
  • Contribute to improving the consistency and readability of reports and documentation.

5. Intercompany Funding & Governance Support

  • Assist in tracking and documenting:
    • Intercompany funding flows
    • Internal dividends and capital movements
  • Support treasury activities related to new country openings (e.g. Ukraine), including documentation and process setup.

6. Systems & Process Improvement

  • Support Treasury Management System (TMS) activities and data accuracy.
  • Assist in improving templates, reports, and documentation standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardisation initiatives.

7. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
    • Treasury Back Office and Middle Office teams
    • Group Finance, Audit, Legal, and Tax
  • Support clear communication of treasury processes and requirements across teams.

 

Join Pepco, if you have:

 

  • 0–2 years’ experience in finance, operations, audit, consulting, or a similar environment
  • Experience involving structured reporting, documentation, analysis, or written communication is advantageous
  • Background or exposure to roles requiring clear written or verbal communication (e.g. reporting, presentations, research) is beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Strong academic track record, with evidence of analytical thinking and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to present information in a clear, structured, and concise manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with data, documentation, and processes
  • Interest in treasury, financial markets, and operations
  • Ambitious, high-potential individual with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment
  • English proficiency minimum B2 (C1 preferred)
  • Openness to a hybrid work model (min. 3 days in the office) and occasional monthly travel.
