Junior Planning Manager

Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Head of Category and Buying Managers to develop and execute the Category Commercial Strategy.
- Leading the creation of commercially viable assortments that meet Pepco customers’ needs.
- Full accountability for merchandise budgets, ensuring sales, margin, and stock targets are met while driving continuous improvement.
- Creating and executing MFP, assortment, and promotion plans in line with the Category Strategy.
- Managing Open-to-Buy (OTB), improving stock turnover, and maintaining product availability.
- Ensuring forecast accuracy, reporting, and optimization of stock rotation and availability.
- Supporting the Head of Category in achieving sales, margin, and intake budgets.
- Assisting in assortment management: defining the number of options, timing of inflows, range width and depth, product segmentation, size ratios, and pack configuration.
- Effectively managing markdowns and clearance of aged inventory.
- Supporting category performance assessment on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Managing and developing a team of direct and indirect reports.
Requirements:
- University degree - preferred economics, mathematics, logistics, production management
- Planning experience - at least 3 years
- Retail experience - 4 years
- PC literacy –Excel essential; Word, Power Point
- English - fluent
- Strong industry knowledge and understanding of market trends
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Proven management and leadership skills
- Effective planning and organizational capabilities
- Sound decision-making skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Numerical literacy and data-driven mindset
