Head of Rewards
Poznań, wielkopolskie, PL, 60-479
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Rewards to join the senior HR leadership team of a listed organisation with a Private Equity majority shareholder. This is a high‑impact role for a reward leader who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy, governance, and execution, with direct exposure to the Remuneration Committee and Board.
This opportunity will appeal to someone who combines senior‑level judgement and influence with a practical, hands‑on approach to delivery.
The Role
As Head of Rewards, you will lead the Group’s reward agenda end‑to‑end, with particular accountability for executive remuneration, incentive design, and governance.
While the role operates at a strategic and Board‑facing level, it also requires personal ownership of a number of core operational reward activities. This is a deliberately lean model: the role is not intended to build a large reward team, but instead suits a senior reward professional who is comfortable personally managing detail as well as direction, supported by external advisers and selected internal partners.
You will act as the primary management adviser to the Remuneration Committee, partnering closely with the CHRO, CEO, CFO, Legal, and Company Secretariat, and engaging as appropriate with PE shareholder representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and ongoing management of the Group’s total reward strategy, aligning business performance, shareholder interests, and market best practice
- Own executive remuneration frameworks including base pay, annual incentives, long‑term incentives, equity plans, and retention arrangements
- Act as principal adviser to the Remuneration Committee, preparing high‑quality, decision‑ready papers, modelling scenarios, and recommendations
- Support RemCo decision‑making on incentive outcomes, performance calibration, and policy development
- Personally manage selected operational reward processes, including annual pay and incentive cycles, market benchmarking, data preparation, and analytics
- balancing PE reward philosophies with public‑company governance expectations
- Oversee remuneration‑related regulatory compliance, disclosures, and governance obligations
- Lead engagement with external remuneration consultants and proxy advisors
- Shape workforce‑level reward frameworks to ensure fairness, competitiveness, and scalability, without creating unnecessary structural complexity
What We’re Looking For
- Significant senior‑level experience in Reward or Executive Compensation, ideally within listed, PE‑backed, or highly governed environments
- A track record of advising Boards and Remuneration Committees, combined with hands‑on delivery capability
- Deep expertise in executive pay, incentives, equity plans, and reward governance
- Comfort operating in a lean operating model, with limited direct reports and a strong individual contribution component
- Strong understanding of investor, proxy advisor, and regulatory expectations
- Commercial, pragmatic, and solutions‑focused with high personal integrity
Why Join?
- A high‑visibility role with genuine influence at Board and shareholder level
- Exposure to both public market governance and Private Equity value‑creation dynamics
- The opportunity to shape reward strategy while remaining closely connected to execution and outcomes
- A senior, trusted role within a collaborative leadership team — without the burden of building or managing a large function
