We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a

 

 

Head of Business Analytics

 

 

As the Head of Business Analytics you will join the Merchandise Planning Department and you will play a crucial role in steering our organization towards peak efficiency and market responsiveness through strategic analytics and project management.

 

This leader ensures that company is well-positioned to anticipate and respond to dynamic market conditions by integrating advanced data analysis and cross-departmental strategy execution.

 

As a vital link between Pepco and the Pepco Group, this role drives strategic alignment and operational excellence across the company.

 

 

You will work in partnership with our Merchandise Planning teams and alongside other functions including Business Transformation Office, Finance, Operations, Logistics or Buying teams as well as with Pepco Executive and Pepco Group key stakeholders.

 

 

What you will be responsible for

 

  •  Global Process Ownership:
    • Define and uphold the governance of business and financial processes organization-wide, ensuring alignment with global standards and best practices,
    • Standardize processes to bolster efficiency and uniformity across all markets,
    • Drives the integrated Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) process across the functional areas of Planning team.

 

  • Strategic Planning Management:
    • Manage and refine the planning processes within the merchandise planning team to align with corporate strategies,
    • Ensure the seamless integration and alignment of inventory, purchasing, and sales strategies across the company, promoting a unified operational execution and strategic approach,
    • Delivers the input for the 3 year Company Business Planning cycle.

 

  • Data Integration and Analysis:
    • Lead efforts to consolidate diverse data streams, developing a comprehensive data framework that supports informed decision-making and operational planning,
    • Utilize state-of-the-art analytics tools to provide insights that guide both strategic and operational decisions.

 

  • Market Planning and Integration:
    • Work closely with Planning teams to tailor central plans to local market conditions, maximizing the effectiveness of planning efforts and resource allocation,
    • Develop and implement effective markdown strategies to optimize inventory turnover and enhance profitability across all operational regions.

 

  • Project Management Office Leadership:
    • Direct and enhance the PMO's capabilities within merchandise planning team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet intended strategic outcomes,
    • Become the key relationship within strategic project planning alongside the Transformation Office.

 

  • Serve as a primary strategic advisor to the Managing Director and the Executive Committee, delivering critical insights that drive high-level strategic decisions.

 

  • Create and develop a team to achieve high performance and meet strategic goals.

 

Your experience:

  • proven experience in a leadership role within Business Analytics, Strategic Planning, or a related analytical field background, preferably within a retail / consumer led or consulting environment,
  • strong expertise in data analysis, process optimization, and strategic alignment,
  • higher degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field,
  • proficiency in Business English is a must,
  • proficiency with advanced data analytics platforms and business intelligence tools,
  • demonstrated skills in project management, 
  • proven leadership abilities,
  • ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, changing business demands and opportunities,
  • adept at communicating complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels,
  • experience in cooperation with C-Suite and Director level stakeholders,
  • excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and engage with diverse personalities at all levels of the company.
