We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a

 

 

Head of Allocation and Space Planning

 

 

As the Head of Allocation and Space Planning you will join the Merchandise Planning Department and you will lead a store-focused planning allocation team that can react quickly to commercial needs. Your role also will be to maximize opportunities to react to trading dynamics and influence both the team and commercial partners to trade floor space effectively.

 

 

You will work in partnership with our Merchandise Planning teams and alongside other functions including Buying teams, Finance, Logistics and Supply Chain, Business Transformation Office, Operations, and Marketing.

 

 

What you will be responsible for:

 

 

  1. Allocation and Replenishment   
  • take accountability for the company allocations and replenishment process, methodology,
  • ensure execution of allocations and replenishment contributes to effectively managing differences across different markets,
  • maximize store inventory productivity,
  1. Control and Analysis     
  • deliver a store planning allocation strategy that is defined, agreed, and implemented,
  • ensure system and process adherence of team and alignment to planning and company strategy,
  • contribute to the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting process.
  1. Space Planning
  • drive space efficiency through strategic adjustments of how space is allocated in stores,
  • establish space planning processes as an integrated part of the merchandising cycle.
  1. Store Markdowns and Offers Optimization         
  • own and drive company profitability, through efficient use of markdowns within available budget & inventory optimization initiatives,
  • ensure execution plans are aligned across functions – merchandise planning, operations, and marketing.
  1. New Store Planning      
  • ensure clustering of space, store performance, and markdown as well as other qualitative aspects of locations is created, maintained, and applied (store clustering),
  • drive development and application of location plans in the business processes across planning.

 

Your experience:

 

  • 10+ years of international experience in retail environment in a similar role,
  • experience in merchandise planning, allocations, space planning, and demand forecasting is essential,
  • in-depth understanding of store segmentation, market, and retailer needs,
  • proficiency in Business English (is a must),
  • proven leadership abilities, and ability to lead multi-functional teams,
  • action-oriented and problem-solving attitude and skills,
  • ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, changing business demands and opportunities,
  • excellent interpersonal skills, working effectively in a multicultural environment and engaging with diverse personalities at all company levels.
